I graduated from Ulster University in 2016 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Applied Art. Following the completion of my degree, I obtained a place on Ulster University’s Artist In Residence programme, where I’ve had a year to work on my practice, focusing on a range of commercial work whilst developing new gallery work.
Combining parian clay, silicone & nylon, I make slip-cast wearable forms & objects for the home. This combination of material begs the viewer to touch, thus creating an interaction between the work & the individual. This interaction relaxes the viewer/user, creates a fun atmosphere & allows me, the maker, to become the viewer – as I watch the perceived function of my work come out to play.
